Mike Anderson was excellent. He arrived promptly, with shoes covered. He was always courteous and listened well to help him diagnose my problem. His knowledge of drains, specifically my layout, was amazing. He went through the drains one by one to analyze and pinpoint the problem. He explained every step carefully to be sure I understood and was gracious to answer all my questions.
He performed the first step to remove the clog and verified if it was successful. The clog was better but not completely removed. He explained the next step and asked for my approval as it would require drilling a small hole to access an attached vertical pipe. He also explained if this wasn’t successful that pipe would have to be replaced, much more expensive.
Mike was successful drilling the small hole for access to the pipe, allowing him to completely clear the clog. Before proceeding he verified the pipe was now flowing freely.
Mike covered the hole with a rubber band with metal clips to be sure this vent pipe would not allow any fumes to escape. He assembled the hoses to the drain and ran an actual test of the drain allowing the washer to empty a full drum of water. There were no issues.
Mike cleaned the area thoroughly and asked me to verify each step he did and the job clean up.
Again, one of my best takeaways was Mike’s knowledge and his willingness to thoroughly explain his process and answer all my questions. Mike did an excellent job of educating me and preparing me to better diagnose any issues in the future.
Mike’s thoroughness also corrected a minor drain issue we have had for the 47 years we have lived here. We have asked local plumbers about the aggravation several times, but was always told there was no solution. Mike was not aware of the issue as it is was an aggravation with no solution.
