Home Plumbing Tip #2: Sometimes mineral deposits will build up on a showerhead. To get rid of these, simply pour 1 cup of vinegar into a sandwich bag, and fill the rest up with water. Put the bag around the showerhead and wrap it up with electrical tape and let it stand overnight.
In the morning, remove the bag and wipe the minerals off with a damp towel.

Don’t reach for that can of chemical spray just yet! Try this instead. Stick 10 cloves into a lemon half and set them out at your next outdoor gathering. Wasp and bees hate the smell and will stay away.

1. To make an all-purpose cleaner, mix 1/2 cup vinegar, 1/4 cup baking soda and 1/2 gallon of water. This will clean pretty much any surface. Squeeze some fresh lemon juice into the mix to give it that fresh citrus smell.
2. Instead of using chemical air freshener sprays, try some Eco alternatives. Simmer water and cinnamon (or other spices) on the stove. Grind up a slice of lemon in the garbage disposal. Place some vinegar and lemon in a small dish, which will absorb odors from around the house.
